The Pilathara Co-op Arts & Science College is a unit of Co-operative Institute of Educational, Paramedical and Technology Ltd. Madayi No C 1740, established in 2006, and registered under Kerala Co-operative Society’s act1969. The society is founded with the aim of providing quality education at affordable cost keeping social justice under social control This College is recognized by Kerala Government and affiliated to Kannur University in 2008. It is our responsibility to inspire and challenge everyone in an environment that makes learning enjoyable and which meets the hopes, ambitions, skills and aspirations of every student. The newly Constructed well-equipped building, inaugurated by Sri. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan (Minister of  Home Affairs & Tourism) on 16th August 2010,is situated in a serene and tranquil environment of twenty acres.

The College embarked its venture by offering B.Com Computer Application , B.Sc Physics , BCA and B.Sc Mathematics.The Subsequent years saw th e adoption of different Courses like B.Sc Computer Science and M.Sc Computer Science in 2011,M.Com Finance in 2012,BBA,BBA-TTM in 2015 and M.Sc Physics ,B.Com Co-Operation in 2019.In the year 2020 BA English was introduced to enhance the linguistic ability of learners .The very year saw the adoption of B.Com Finance and B.Sc Chemistry .The College currently offers 10 UG Courses and 2 PG Courses.
